Love Hina (ラブ ひな, Rabu Hina?) is an anime and manga series authored by Ken Akamatsu. The manga won the Kodansha Manga Award for best shōnen title in 2001[1] and the “Best Manga, USA Release” at the 2002 Anime Expo. The manga consists of 14 volumes. The anime is 25 episodes long and is supplemented with Christmas and Spring movies and the Love Hina Again OVA. There are also two novels from Love Hina, both named Love Hina: the novel (both written by the series’ anime screenwriters, volume 1 by Sho Aikawa (as Kurou Hazuki), volume 2 by Hiroyuki Kawasaki), which have been released in Japan and have been released in the US by Tokyopop, the US publisher of the manga.

The story is a comedy of the shōnen genre about a clumsy young man with an unparalleled amount of personal drive despite having horrible luck. After failing to get into Tokyo U (the college of his dreams), he visits his grandmother’s onsen only to discover it has been turned into a girls’ dorm. After his grandmother gives him the deed to the building, he has the tough job of being landlord, studying to get into Tokyo U, and dealing with the girls living there, who never pass up an opportunity to humiliate him.

The series falls under the harem comedy genre as well due to the familiar set up of one boy living with a group of sexy but unusual women. One distinguishing feature that sets this series apart from the average harem comedy is that, for a very large portion of the manga series, Keitaro is disliked by the girls. Whereas many of the same genre initially or very quickly place the main male character at the center of the girls’ love, Keitaro is not only initially disliked by the girls, he suffers for a rather prolonged and extended period of time.

The series is most well known for putting humorously absurd elements into an ostensibly mundane universe, such as flying turtles, ghosts, and Su’s destructive mecha.

The manga is published in Japan by Kodansha in Weekly Shonen Magazine, in English in North America and the United Kingdom by Tokyopop, in French in France and Québec by Pika Édition, in Spanish in Spain by Glénat, in Singapore in English and Chinese by Chuang Yi, in Brazil by Editora JBC, in Mexico by Grupo Editorial Vid, in Poland by Waneko, in Germany in German,swedish in Sweden, Norwegian in Norway, by EMA and in several other countries.

The anime is released in North America by Bandai Entertainment, in Spain by Jonu Media, and in Singapore by Odex. As of July 1, 2007 FUNimation announced that they had bought the license to Love Hina from Bandai and are planning on re-releasing the series and movies. As of now, Love Hina Again has not been announced as a part of the re-release although it is highly likely that it will be too. As for August 10, 2007 FUNimation announced it was simply going to re-release the series as is with no redubbing or any other modification.

you can start lower and work your way up into nintendo, most places nowadays (although getting a degree at university helps), go on experience and previous work.
if you got a interview somewhere, and took along a full portfolio with you, and just blab off, telling them what you can do etc, then you're more likely to get to a position like this easier.
but unis a good idea, as theres alot to know about this kind of designing!

Third paragraph:

After completing a degree in communications at Boston College,[3] Kingston made his professional debut in 2005.[4] He competed primarily in the New England area, including stints in the Millennium Wrestling Federation, New England Championship Wrestling, the Eastern Wrestling Alliance, and Chaotic Wrestling under the ring name Kofi Nahaje Kingston.[1][5]

In September 2006, he signed a developmental contract with World Wrestling Entertainment (WWE), and was assigned to Deep South Wrestling (DSW), a Georgia based developmental territory.[1] He debuted in the new company, using the same ring name, in a dark match loss to Montel Vontavious Porter on September 21.[6] For the rest of 2006 and the beginning of 2007 he appeared in DSW, as well as its Kentucky based sister promotion Ohio Valley Wrestling, where he was placed into a tag team dubbed the Commonwealth Connection with Harry Smith.[7][8][9]

2007 was also his first exposure to the main WWE roster, when he worked dark matches on March 5 and 26 before episodes of WWE Raw against Charlie Haas and Trevor Murdoch respectively. For these appearances he used the ring name Kofi Jamaica.[10][11] When he returned to the developmental territories he shortened his original ring name to Kofi Kingston, and continued to use both ring names throughout his duration there.[1] That May he also worked house shows, defeating Shelton Benjamin in Greenville, South Carolina on the 5th,[12] and Val Venis in Roanoke, Virginia on the 6th.[13]

When Florida based developmental territory Florida Championship Wrestling opened in June, Kingston was relocated there, appearing at their first show on June 26 teaming with Eric Perez against Keith Walker and Ryklon Stephens in a losing effort.[14] Kingston worked there for most of the remainder of the year,[14][15] until he was called up to the main WWE roster.

A series of vignettes for Kingston’s television debut began airing on the weekly ECW television show starting on December 6, 2007.[16] view During this introduction phase the videos, official WWE website, and the ECW commentators all made note that he would be the first Jamaican-born person to wrestle for the company. He debuted on January 22, 2008 with a win over local wrestler David Owens.[17][18] After wrestling sporadic matches, Kingston was involved in his first major match; a 24-man Battle royal match that took place before Wrestlemania XXIV, where the winner would have received a ECW Championship match, but he was eliminated by Mark Henry.[19]

A male usually grows most around age 14 and reaches adult height at about age 17, however, there seems to be some disparity with this fact among basketball players.

according to the wikipedia articles for Charles Barkley and Scottie Pippen, they both grew a significant amount after when they should have:

Barkley grew about 6 inches after age 17 and Pippen grew 6 inches in college, astoundingly.

So my question is: what caused these players to grow significantly after normal human growth is supposed to stop?

I see two possibilities:
1. excessive amounts of training caused large releases of growth hormone(exercise increases the release of growth hormone). Although if their growth plates were closed then this would have no effect.
2. Basketball somehow caused their bones to stretch despite having closed growth plates.

So which explanation seems more logical?

I think it goes back to survival, if the body has to adapt to compete it will, but i think also genes play a role also. Shorter people loose interest or get cut from the team sooner, i am sure if they could stick with it they would gain a couple of extra inches eventually.

I know of a guy named John Francis who got a PhD without uttering a word. He was mute by choice. I am not from the US, so bear with me for any misunderstandings, but aren’t there oral exams in colleges/universities? If I choose to be mute even if technically I am not (ie. I have a severe stammer or similar condition) can I earn a degree just like everyone else? How does that work?

Thanks for the answers, but my question was more practical. I just asked if it was possible, not if it was right or whatever.

First of all, there are very few if any oral exams in American universities. Secondly, I know a kid from Lebanon with a severe stammer and he does just fine trying to get through it. The professors and students all have a lot of patience, and it will be OK. Don’t hold yourself back because of it, and don’t be mute. Everyone wants to hear your opinion, even if it takes a little longer to express it.
